Hairdressing For Support Through Cancer
I offer Mobile Hairdressing for Cutting, Colouring and Blow Drying for Ladies who are on a Journey Through Cancer and Beyond
For Colouring I use a professional an organically based ammonia free high quality Italian colour range that reduces damage to your hair for tints, semi colour, quasi colour and lowlights. For highlights I use a High Lift blonding lightner, more gentle and natural than bleach for your hair. Great for people who wish to avoid the use of harsh chemicals and reduces irritation of the scalp, great if you are prone to skin sensitivity. Reiki For Support Through Cancer
Reiki is considered a safe complementary treatment to receive alongside your Oncology Care. Most importantly it provides relaxation and a therapeutic touch
Reiki is a holistic therapy which induces your healing response on a physical, mental and emotional level. It is a non invasive therapy and is a natural and safe method of healing. It can be used alongside other treatments, both conventional medicine, alternative and complementary therapies.
I may use an essential oil to enhance your treatment and I will hold my hands over you or place them on various areas of your body that I am drawn to. I will always hold over your body rather than on if I am drawn to any personal areas of your body. You may feel a sense of warmth and deep relaxation during your treatment and may even find yourself drifting off.
A wonderful treatment to have regularly to support you through lifes emotional ups and downs.

Reflexology is considered a safe complementary treatment to receive alongside your Oncology Care
Reflexology is a wonderful, calming and relaxing treatment. It is not just foot massage but a precise complementary therapy using finger and thumb pressure to reflex points on your feet to relax you and help to relive stress, boost your energy levels and remove tension from your feet, body and mind. Sometimes certain areas of your feet may be slightly tender which could indicate a possible imbalance in the corresponding area of your body. If tenderness is felt the pressure can be adapted to suit your needs and comfort.
My reflexology treatments incorporate a strong element of relaxation massage of your foot and lower leg using loosening and stretching techniques assisting movement of your ankles and foot inducing relaxation of your body and mind.
I also carry out a thorough reflexology treatment using techniques that further assist to relax your nervous system which in turn helps to boost your general health and wellbeing. Many diseases are caused by stress and reflexology may help to relax the nervous system and restore balance to your body systems.
Indian Head Massage For Support Through Cancer
Indian Head Massage is wonderfully relaxing and lovely treatment to receive to give yourself time to stop, slow down and relax. It supports you on a physical, mental and emotional level. Stress can negatively affect all three and create a state of imbalance. Indian Head Massage can help restore the balance by bringing relaxation to your body and mind.
Indian head massage is a technique of manipulating soft tissues in your upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, scalp and face. I use a range of different massage techniques, pressures and rhythms to stimulate these areas. Carried out in a seated position this is a great massage treatment for complete relaxation. Relieves stress inducing calm and relieves stiffness in joints of your upper back, shoulders, arms and neck. Also releases tension in your scalp and face.
I offer a gentle soothing massage to your upper back, neck, shoulders, arms, scalp and face. Carried out in a seated position without the need to remove clothing or I can use an organic massage oil and a choice of essential oils direct onto your skin. I will focus on areas of stress and tension and will use flowing, friction, and squeezing techniques to relax and relieve any pain in these areas of your body.

A safe effective and nurturing massage for you at any stage of your cancer treatment
Massage while undergoing treatment for cancer has previously been a bit of a grey area, with clients being turned away from salons and spas due to therapist lack of training and knowledge and not being insured to offer massage for cancer patients.
For me to offer the Tranquil Sea Massage For Cancer I have undertaken additional training with Hydrotherm and hold insurance for offering you this massage without the need for medical consent. I also hold a Certificate of Qualification for Cancer Awareness.
Hydrotherm Tranquil Sea massage has been especially designed to help reduce stress and anxiety and is a very soothing and deeply therapeutic form of holistic massage.
This massage is carried out on 2 warm water filled cushions on top of my massage couch. You lay upon the cushions and the warmth of the water supports your aching body and induces relaxation and a feeling of being nurtured and cooconed.
I use gentle flowing strokes to soothe, relax and ease your body and relax your mind using a high quality organic massage oil and appropriate Aromatherapy Essential Oils at your choice. During this time in your life a therapeutic touch from a massage can be very reassuring and offer you a feeling of comfort and care.
Aromatherapy For Support Through Cancer
I use Aromatherapy Essential Oils extracted from plants for their therapeutic value to enhance your Indian Head Massage and Hydrotherm Tranquil Sea Massage experience or for inhalation prior to your Reiki Treatment. I will assist you in choosing the appropriate oil or blend of oils to suit your needs. Some essential oils may not be suitable for you whilst you have cancer due to their properties of endocrine disruptors (phytoplant oestrogen commonly found in plants) but I will advise you on this.
